Happy nearly Pi(e) Day, St. Patrick's Day, and -- if you're reading this the day I send -- actual Friday the 13th, Reader! The One That I AskI am thrilled to report that The One That I Ask—my short story for the Camelot-inspired anthology Once & Nevermore—is now in the hands of the coordinator. 🥳 A “one year later” check-in on Keira and Connor from The One That I Want—If you haven’t met them yet, you can grab their story here—The One That I Ask finds our couple on a weekend trip to Cornwall. Early on in their adventure, Keira rolls with a change to her plans with a solid counter proposal... Using the step stool, I clamber onto the four-poster bed, toe off my sneakers, and dangle my feet over the edge. “Let’s talk dinner. I thought we could get fancy—”
“During check-in, the owner said we ought to go to their Renaissance fair tonight.”
“The Sovereign Hearts Festival? I saw the flyer. Looked neat, but—”
“Apparently this is the last evening that Isolde of Belowda will be performing and it’d be a right shame if we missed one as talented as she. That’s a direct quote. What do you think? Give it a go? A little live entertainment mixed with generous amounts of watching people all duded up in their medieval finery? We can do our fancy night tomorrow.”
“I—” Breaking off mid-reply, I pluck the duvet, considering his suggestion. It would delay The Question, but we do have tomorrow night and—major finger on the scale for yes—there would be cool costumes.
“What’s wrong?” He’s at the bed in a flash, standing between my thighs, warm hands anchoring my hips.
“Nothing. Really and truly. We’ll save polishing ourselves up for mañana and go be time-traveling tourists.”
“You sure?”
“You bet. All of a sudden, I’m dying for a Cornish pasty. Something I can eat with my hands. Followed by something fermented and hoppy to wash it down.”
“Sounds like a winning combo.”
“You know what else sounds like a win? You, recharging your batteries for when you’re driving on the wrong side of the road again later.” I lean back on one elbow and pat the mattress, aiming my best come-hither look his way. “Why don’t you join me up here?”
Every story in Once & Nevermore is inspired by one of the legends from King Arthur's court. I had so much fun weaving the riddle at the heart of The Wedding of Sir Gawain and Dame Ragnelle—“What does a woman want?”—into this sweet and sexy bon-bon of a story. I can’t wait to hear what you think of my modern day spin on the age-old question—and answer! 👉 Read the story this MayFlood Update — Sleeping in More Beds Than Goldilocks Could Dream ofI’ve counted. So far, I’ve slept in seven different beds since my condo flooded in January. I expect to add two more before this saga ends. Thankfully one of those beds involves vacation… After a delay getting the repair estimate approved (insurance: handy, but slow), I finally got the green light to begin repairs. To say I happy-danced… would be a lie. I took a nap, cuz this girl is tiiiiired. And in an irony to end all ironies: the friend whose basement guestroom I’ve been staying in? We discovered this weekend that her water heater leaked into the basement carpet. Extensively. Seems I cannot escape catastrophic water events… or wet socks. 😣🧦 But good news is on the horizon: I just signed the contract and repair work will begin next week. 🥳 For Readers Who Love Discovering New Romance Authors...Because March can be a bit of a prat, I decided we could all use a little extra book jam to sweeten our nights. If you enjoy discovering new romance authors, this month's Book Jam includes a male-male romantic suspence set in Barcelona and a collection of romances filled with irresistible longing. March's Remaining To Do List
May your kite strings stay untangled and your reading material options be jam-packed with the sweet and the spice and the naughty and the nice. Ciao for now, Keely J. KEELY THRALL P.S. The three-volume Jamaica hurricane relief anthology One Love will be leaving Kindle Unlimited at the end of March. Volume III features my short story, The One That I Tease. I don’t know when I’ll put this story back in circulation, so snap it up if you find yourself in need of a slow-burn spin around the dance floor with the celebrity crush you never got over at a posh Long Island winery wedding reception. A one-night-stand proposition never sizzled so good. ❤️🔥 |

My heroine is on a date with a perfectly nice man who talks about cat probiotics. Naturally, she can’t stop thinking about the hot stranger she met in a restroom. Hiya, Reader! In other words, there’s a lot going on around here. Let’s start with Romy… Romy, Girlfriend, We Need to Talk Meet...
