We've got a Camelot-inspired poll with a very important question to answer! Boo! Also: Hello, Reader! Are you locked into costume mode as we count down the days to Halloween? Back in 2011, a friend got married at our local Renaissance faire, and I bought a pirate-style blouse to wear so I'd match the festivities. Only instead of white or cream, I opted for green. A very minty green. Because I'm thrifty, I repurposed it from Renaissance Wedding Guest to Renaissance Court Physician at Halloween that year. The next year I was a Green Witch. Another year I was something orange and black and green. Don't ask me what. I've blocked it out. All I know is I've been using that blouse as the basis of my Halloween costumes ever since. And this year, with Once & Nevermore: A Camelot Anthology out in the world, my trusty mint-green blouse is once again reporting for duty. Some people are destined to wield Excalibur. Me? I get medieval hospital scrubs. 👀 👍 POLL! Camelot CrashersCast your vote below! One click, five questionable entertainment pitches. Wait. Camuel? How did YOU get on this list? You weren't even nominated! Camels these days. 🙄 Give them one little taste of fame and suddenly they're staging hostile takeovers. Management will be investigating. We definitely had another knight lined up for spot five. I'll report back on both the poll results and the investigation next month. Assuming Camuel hasn't seized complete control of the newsletter by then... The One That I Ask in Once & Nevermore: In this land of quests and derring-do, Connor and Keira are about to Your next happily ever after awaits!
🎁 Your October Book Jam: Off the HookThis month's free read is Dania Voss's Off the Hook, a new adult romance featuring a baseball hero, a book-loving heroine, and an epic summer road trip. A nerdy girl and a jock? One of my favorite pairings. Bring on that scrumptious opposites-attract energy! 🍂 What's on Deck for NovemberWhat's up in November? I predict pie. 🥧 For dessert. Snack time. Breakfast. Or whenever the mood strikes. My favorite this time of year is ye olde traditional apple. I don't need it fancy. I don't need it gunked up with caramel or extra cinnamon or whatever. Just a good old-fashioned apple pie with a flaky crust, a lattice top, and a big ol' dollop of fresh whipped cream. I will eat other pie. I'm not crazy. But given a choice? Apple. Every. Single. Time. So, yeah. What's up in November? Pie. And lots of writing… Ciao for now, Keely J. KEELY THRALL P.S. My heroine is on a date with a perfectly nice man who talks about cat probiotics. Naturally, she can’t stop thinking about the hot stranger she met in a restroom. Hiya, Reader!
