Happy April, dear Reader! What hands down beats two months of sleeping in any bed but my own? SPRING BREAK! Maybe not the spring break of my young adult imagination, where booze, bikinis, and hunky boys reigned supreme, but a solid, lovely two weeks away from the daily grind? Yeah, that suited me down to my pretty blue toes (courtesy of some mani-pedi bonding time with my aunt). I napped. I read. I went to the pool. I ate good food. My dad and I got our binge-watching swerve on, managing to gulp down: How to Get to Heaven from Belfast, Lincoln Lawyer season four, Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials, season one of Unforgotten, and The Good Girls Guide to Murder. Utter bliss. I also devoured Ilona Andrews’ latest: This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me and, frankly, I’d like another week of vacation to begin the reread, please? 🙏 (why is there no emoji for puppy dog pleading eyes??). If you’re a fan of fantasy, feisty heroines, enigmatic heroes, and epic slow burn romance, you’ll adore this book. Mega recommend! Book Updates: Camelot and CraveProgress on the Homefront: Trending Upwards 📈I am pleased to share that I *will* get to move back home. Soon. Soonish. Who knows? Here's a quick recap of where I've been and where I'm going on the homefront: January 19: I get a call saying my condo has flooded. Cue sleeping in too many beds that Are Not My Own. Boo! 😭 February: a blur of snowcrete and stress and slow moving insurance estimates. More boo! 😵💫 March: ceiling is repaired, new flooring is ordered, walk-in closet in bedroom is framed out, design for built-in shelving is… still in design mode. But yay, progress! 🙌 April: This month will see fresh paint, flooring and new light fixtures installed, and new everything else done to spec. 🤞 May... I’m really hopeful that I’ll get to move back home early in May. Wish me luck! 🍀 April's Book JamWho doesn't like free? This month we have a gritty romantic suspense by an author who knows how to bring out the chills and the thrills and a collection of scrumptious looking guys, I mean books. Totally mean books. Yup. Lots of free... books. Is it getting hot in here? April's Gitter Done List
May your kite strings stay untangled and your reading material options be jam-packed with the sweet and the spice and the naughty and the nice. Ciao for now, Keely J. KEELY THRALL P.S. Here's a little collage of my last few weeks. Vacation is South Carolina, a conference in San Diego -- with a visit to the beach at night to dip my toes in the Pacific Ocean. I saw my first "Waymo" vehicle (have you ridden in one yet?). I splurged on a fancy airport lounge designed by celebrity chef José Andres (fun fact: all the proceeds from the romance anthology Love at Dawn -- which includes my debut paranormal short story A Really Big Dawn -- go to Andres' World Central Kitchen.). The wallpaper at the hotel in San Diego reminded me of retro tattoos. Oh, and a friend laser cut that sophisticated cat in a hat onto a sweet journal I can't *wait* to start using! |

My heroine is on a date with a perfectly nice man who talks about cat probiotics. Naturally, she can’t stop thinking about the hot stranger she met in a restroom. Hiya, Reader! Welcome to August, a month when apparently my fictional characters are making questionable romantic choices while I juggle contractors, unpack boxes, and mull over the merits of giving my condo an exorcism. In other words, there’s a lot going on around here. Let’s start with Romy… Romy, Girlfriend, We Need to Talk Meet...
